Tuesday, August 21st brought another Paint Night to Moxie. This month's picture was a Lighthouse, and it was a fitting image for our good cause. The Good Samaritan Caring Fund, at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton, raises funds to assist residents that need a little extra help with living expenses. Many of our painters this month were Kidron Employees, going above and beyond to help the fund that helps their residents!

Another month, another Paint Night for a good cause! This month, Amanda Bomberry hosted the painting of a whimisical VW Bus on the beach!

Everyone had a great time, and this month's picture benefited Jason Schmidt, and his recovery from a motorcycle accident.  #MoxieMeansFamily and Community!

The last weekend of June, saw a Moxling chasing the sunset. Ken, oldest of the sons and wisest of the bartenders (he didn't pay me to say that, honest!) said goodbye to the Moxie crew and headed for his dreams in Colorado!

Saturday, June 30th, saw a final shift filled with friends, fun, and freaky faces!

Unbeknowest to him, mini-Kens were made, courtesy of our own Carly B., and passed around.

(Please don't be scared, this is only a blog.)

Now, he travels wherever he wants! #KenWasHere

The dog days of summer are upon us, and nothing is a better cure for that than the lake. Or a motorcycle ride. Or a barbeque. Or setting off fireworks (safely!!).

With that in mind, Moxie will be closed Tuesday, July 3rd and Wednesday, July 4th, for the Independence Day holiday! We want our employees to enjoy this time with their families and friends.

We will be open on Thursday, July 5th, at 4pm, just like normal. We wish you all a safe and happy Holiday, and look forward to seeing your sunburned faces on Thursday! We'll have cold brews to take the sting away!

And like all Mam...

As many of you know, once a month we have Paint Night! The ever-wonderful Amber Bomberry shares her talent and creativity with Moxie patrons, and in return they end up with amazing paintings to call their own. Not only is this a fun and relaxing social event, but a portion of the proceeds goes to charity! This month's great cause is Team Davis. From their Facebook Page:

Ben and Casey Davis are Newton natives and the parents to 4 beautiful children. Recently, Ben was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. Ben and Casey need the support of their friends and family during this dif...

Saturday evening, June 16th, Moxie was proud to have Harrison Steele back on our Patio. The weather was great, and the music was even better! This up-and-coming Singer-Songwriter from Wichita has his songs available on iTunes, and you can hear them on his website, On May 12th of this year, he opened for Train at Hartman Arena, in front of a hometown crowd! Moxie had people there, and they are still buzzing about it! We hope to have Harrison back again, so keep an eye on our Upcoming Events!

Some exciting, and yet sad, news from Moxie today. Ken, our steadfast, bartending, handy everyman is leaving us to pursue his future out west. His heart lies in the outdoors, working with his hands on carpentry, construction, and real estate. We always knew his time at Moxie Grill & Brew Pub was just a stop-over, and that one day he would follow the calling of his dreams. It is beyond an understatement to say that he'll be missed, by his coworkers and customers alike. #MoxieMeansFamily, real and adopted, and we know that he feels our love and support as he starts this next c...

Do you take Credit Cards?

Yes, but only for a few seconds. After we swipe them, we give them back. #WePromise

What are your hours?

I'm a night owl, so I'm usually awake at like, 2am. But sometimes, I like to wake up early, too. #ButYouDoYou

Why do you call Tuesday, Twos-day?

Uh, it's in the name. #Duh

Why is Trivia always on Thursday?

That's a good question! You should host Trivia! #NoReally #WeNeedHosts

How do you find your live acts?

We put a toy microphone out on the Patio, under a box propped up by a stick and string. They can't resist. #BeVewyVewyQuiet
